1983 Lecture Series in Labour and Working-Class History

In 1982/3 Memorial University of Newfoundland in conjunction with the Canadian Committee on Labour History hosted a series of public lectures on labour and working-class history, funded by the Canadian Studies Division of Canada's Secretary of State. The public lectures took place at Queen's College and were well-attended. The lectures were also videotaped and broadcast on MUN's Educational Television station. The videos seen here are from those productions. The lectures were also later published by the CCLH as Lectures in Canadian Labour and Working-Class History (CCLH 1985), edited by WJC Cherwinski and Greg Kealey, and are still available from Athabasca University Press (www.aupress.ca).
