Meet at Victory Square (West Hastings and Cambie) at 10:00 am for a walking tour of downtown Vancouver, exploring the working class history of the city.
Or, join us for lunch at 12:00 pm at the Ukrainian Hall (805 East Pender Street).
Starting at 1:00 pm there will be three roundtable discussions: Working in the Neoliberal University, Labour History Beyond the Classroom, and Building an Inclusive Labour History.
Our hope is to continue some of the valuable conversations begun in Saskatoon in October 2018 about the present work of labour historians and the future of studying the working class. There will be no formal papers. The goal is to collectively explore how we might reinvigorate the study and teaching of labour history and to chart a positive path for activism.
We will end the day with supper.
